Prudential's RideLondon event, scheduled for 15th and 16th August, is just one of the many annual events not able to go ahead this year as a result of the pandemic. So the organisers put together a "virtual" RideLondon event instead with challenges of different distances for cyclists of all levels.
PSDS member Billy's dad, Derek, and brother, Nathan, decided to saddle themselves with a fundraising challenge - cycling 19 miles each for PSDS. Not only did the Davies duo smash their challenge (and dodge the wet weather!), they smashed their fundraising target too. So far the pedal powered pair have raised a fabulous total of £548.75.
Speaking of his decision to raise funds for, and awareness of, PSDS, Derek commented: "PSDS has been SO helpful for Billy, providing early years learning, after school activities like Drama Club, and funding training for schools to allow children like Billy to enjoy inclusive education and to thrive!"
Well done and thank you Derek and Nathan - and a huge thanks to all your sponsors too.
