Fabulous Fair (and Foul) Weather Friends

Alexia and Leftheris put their best feet forward a whopping 22,338 times last weekend to raise funds for PSDS. The intrepid pair braved challenging weather conditions including thunder, lightning, hail, rain and thankfully some sun during an epic trek. They covered a distance of 16km and climbed 13 floors to notch up their incredible total of steps. Alexia and Leftheris have also notched up an incredible amount of money too. So far, their JustGiving page has received donations totalling £910, with a further £178.75 to be added via GiftAid.

This fantastic amount of money will go a long way towards helping PSDS to continue helping children and young people who have Down syndrome reach their full potential. The reason Alexia and Leftheris set themselves this enormous challenge in the first place.

As Alexia explains: "One of our very dear friends has an amazing little boy who has Down syndrome and we just want him to live in a world were everyone is included and has the best chances and support available. PSDS works with him and his family and are important to them, so thus important to us."

What fabulous friends Alexia and Leftheris are. We are so grateful to them both for not only stepping out to support PSDS, but also for rocking their mismatched socks for us during Down Syndrome Awareness Week too.
