Stepping It Up for PSDS

It's Down Syndrome Awareness Week and there is much talk of wearing mismatched socks to celebrate World Down Syndrome Day on 21st March. We hope PSDS supporters Gini and Steve are wearing really comfy socks and that their feet are not too sore from walking a massive 21,431 steps around a very blustery Richmond Park (that's a whopping 13.7km!!) last Saturday.

Inspired by PSDS member Billy and his family, Gini and Steve put their best feet forward to raise awareness about PSDS and also to raise funds for us too. During their walk they wore special t-shirts proudly carrying the message "Walking 21,000 steps for Billy and his friends at PSDS".

In addition to clocking up a very impressive 21,431 steps, Gini and Steve have raised a fabulous sum of £721.25 for PSDS, for which we are incredibly grateful! What a fantastic way to start our fundraising during Down Syndrome Awareness Week.

Thanks Gini and Steve - we hope you've had the opportunity to put your feet up and relax this week!
