Caterham Collection Delivers Fantastic Result

The Rotary Clubs of Caterham and Caterham Harestone, supported by 6th form students from Caterham School and volunteers from Tandridge Volunteer Service and Caterham Round Table, raised an amazing total of £5,795 during their Christmas Tree of Goodwill house-to-house collections in Caterham, Whyteleafe and Warlingham last December.

Thanks to the enormous generosity of local residents and the hard work of all involved, a number of good causes, including PSDS and DKNS a blood cancer charity, have benefited from the collection.

Representing PSDS at a ceremony celebrating this achievement, Helen was invited along to Caterham School recently where students were presented with Certificates of Thanks for thier support and Helen was presented with a cheque for £2,148.

After receiving the cheque from Caterham Rotary President, Stephanie Barrett, and Caterham Harestone Rotary past-President, Terry Servant, Helen thanked everyone present and said: "We are incredibly grateful to you all for your hard work organising the collections and to all the residents who gave so generously. We are really honoured that PSDS has been chosen as one of the charities to be supported by this initiative. What a wonderful way to start the New Year!"
