Edinburgh's Bonny Madden

Whilst many of us were enjoying a sunny bank holiday BBQ, Chloe Madden travelled north of the border to take on the challenge of the Edinburgh Marathon.

With over 35,000 participants signed up for the weekend of 26th & 27th May, it was the largest Edinburgh Marathon Festival on record - and one of the warmest too!

Chloe, a close friend of the Grover family (no stranger to long distance running themselves), was inspired by Jack to take part in the Edinburgh Marathon. She proudly ran with Joggers For Jack on the back of her vest and PSDS on the front.

Clocking up a very respectable time of 4hours 37 minutes and 59 seconds, Chloe not only smashed the 26.2 mile course, she smashed her fundraising target too. So far, donations totalling £2,003 have come rolling in and with GiftAid on top the grand total stands at just under £2,500. A really fabulous achievement.

It's important to keep hydrated running such a long distance on a warm day. We're glad to hear that Chloe took this advice on board after the race too - apparently her first post-race beverage (something a tad stronger than water!) didn't touch the sides - and rightly so! Chloe, we're also raising a glass (or two) to celebrate your sensational success. You are a superstar, CHEERS!!
