Where there's a Wilson's there's a way

PSDS has just been awarded a fabulous grant of £250 as a result of Wilson's School in Wallington taking part in the First Give scheme.

First Give is an educational charity working with 140 secondary schools. Taking part in the First Give scheme, students investigate social issues and meet with local charities who address those issues in their community. The students then make professional presentations about their chosen charity and compete with each other in a public speaking competition from which awards are made to their charities.

Kwajo is a student at Wilson's School and he got in touch with psds a few months ago to say that he had chosen us to be his charity. He and his team-mates then set about learning as much as possible about psds, including interviewing member families to find out first-hand what services and support we offer.

As a result of the hard work of Kwajo and his team, their presentation earned a fantastic grant of £250 for which we are really grateful.

Thank you Kwajo and all at Wilson's who took part in the scheme and to First Give for encouraging young people to find out about local causes in their area.
