Sensational Summer Sleepover

After one of the wettest weeks in July ....ever.....the sun finally shone on our Big Summer Sleepover family festival! Set in a stunning location in Beare Green, our festival field was truly transformed in to a field of fun. Over 450 guests came to party with PSDS and enjoy all the fabulous activities on offer - from pony rides to posing in the Instaglam Selfie Station and giant inflatables to Hugo the giant tortoise. The Tent of Fantastic Fun more than lived up to its name hosting activities such as Drumming Workshops; the Play Field kept children entertained for hours with circus skills, crazy inflatables, wobble bikes and a trapeze swing (which a few parents tried out too!); the Tinc Creative Zone played host to arts and crafts enthusiasts  of all ages, and animal lovers loved meeting some weird and wonderful creatures with Animazing!

There was a chance to cool off on the giant waterslide in the Nerf Water Wars area, while wannabe popstars sang their hearts out in the Kids Karaoke. Delicious food and drinks kept energy levels high ready for the Stagecoach Pop Party, our Awesome Auction and a onesie parade crazy conga across the field.

A fiery finale in the form of a fire show brought the children's entertainment to an end and then the tempo in the Big Top Tent took on a whole new beat with musical acts including the uPSiDerS (our very own house band!), Bunglesfinger and 21st Century Riot rocking everyone's socks off! A DJ set brought the evening's entertainment to a close and after a few "one more song" encores it was time for all who were still standing to totter off to their tents! The Big Summer Sleepover might not have included much sleep for some, but it definitely included tons of fun for everyone! As for the scores on the doors....drum roll please........a phenomenal total of over £36,000 was raised for PSDS. Enormous thanks to all who supported the Sleepover - our very generous sponsors, wonderful suppliers, fabulous ticket purchasers and amazing auction bidders - you really helped us to celebrate PSDS turning 10 in sensational style!
