The Time's Right For Beth

"Girl Wonder" is the caption used by The Saturday Times alongside Beth's This Is Me portrait (page 20, 3rd Sept edition). And they are spot on! Not only was the fabulous photo taken just two days after she had been in hospital with pneumonia last October, Andrew Shaylor's stunning shot of a very bright-eyed Beth has now been chosen to form part of a nationwide exhibition called Portrait of Britain. The British Journal of Photography's open call for photographs celebrating the country's unique heritage and diversity resulted in almost 4,000 entries from which a selection "that capture the young and the old, reflecting not just the multiformity of British people, but also the myriad of styles and approaches to contemporary photographic portraiture" was chosen. Portrait of Britain will run across JCDecaux's digital network of screens in shopping centres, railway stations, high streets and bus stops throughout the UK during September. Keep an eye out for Beth and let us know at info@psds.info if you spot her beaming smile on your travels!
